- Minimum Essential Coverage Wellness/Preventative Plan Plus Fixed Indemnity Services

When am I eligible for healthcare benefits?
New hires will have 30 days from their first paycheck to enroll in additional coverage offerings or Opt-Out of the automatic enrollment. All employees will be automatically enrolled in our Minimal Essential Coverage (MEC Plan) if they do not opt-out.

Can I opt out of the automatically enrolled MEC Plan or benefit coverages?
To opt-out of the automatically enrolled MEC Plan or elect additional coverages within your 30-day initial enrollment period coverage please call (866) 866-3424 or visit www.theamericanworker.com. No changes can be made to any other enrolled benefits after the initial enrollment period except during the annual open enrollment period or as a result of a qualifying event.
When is open enrollment?
Open enrollment occurs once per year. Active working employees will be able to participate in open enrollment for benefits annually during the month of June. We will not have another open enrollment until the following year in June.
